About this directory

I'm a career counselor in Portland. My clients kept telling me how hard it was to find a counselor whose practice actually centers on career work — the signal is difficult to read from a profile alone.

That's why this directory exists.

How it works

Every counselor here is vetted before going live. For practitioners with a formal career credential (NCDA, ICF, BCC, GCDF, NBCC, or similar), we verify it on the issuing body's registry. For everyone, we read their site to confirm career counseling is a real focus, and we touch base directly. The Verified badge means we checked.

How I make money

Browsing is free, always. Eventually, listed counselors will be able to upgrade to a featured placement (more visibility, plus analytics on how many people clicked through). Lead-gen won't affect search ranking — vetting and your filters will. Until then, this is a side project on a credit card.
